Not only is Danielson's look stolen from 1984, so were the cameras to shoot most of this tribute video.

Of course, indy fans know Bryan Danielson is great. But, in WWE, they'll see him as a little guy. Will they treat him like a Dean Malenko, like a Jamie Noble, or heaven forbid, like a Sho Funaki? Nigel in TNA has a better chance at a mainstream future.

I want him to do well in WWE, and they might surprise me, but I honestly don't know.
We keep hoping he'll get a "CM Punk push", but Punk is 4 inches taller than him, and has a more marketable look.
There have only been 3 WWE champs that are smaller than him: Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero (ECW Champ -- same size), and Rey Mysterio. And ALL of them were more built than him.
Knowing McMahon's love for "marketable" champions (which makes sense), I just don't see Danielson rising above midcard unless something really drastic happens.
I hope I'm wrong, because Danielson has a lot to offer. But I don't think I am.
The person who said that Nigel/Desmond has a better chance of commercial success wasn't wrong. At least not right now.

I give it a year and he'll be back in the bush leagues. He just isn't a marketable looking guy.
